The mission of the Tejas Lodge, Order of the Arrow is to fulfill its purpose as an integral part of the East Texas Area Council, Boy Scouts of America through positive youth leadership under the guidance of selected capable adults.

Chief’s Corner

Well, I hope everyone shares my enthusiasm pertaining to this summer. The heat seems to have set in, and with it, many exciting events for our lodge. Summer camp will be under way at the end of the month, and our presence there will be unlike ever before.

Please remember to donate your time every Tuesday afternoon to serve ice cream and other activities on Tuesday nights at Pirtle, the official OA day. Also chapters should have their representatives present at Ordeal Admin. Training, on May 15th. This training will make the difference in this year’s ordeals, where we hope to see a smoother operation than has been seen to date.

The weekend of May 22nd marks our great day of service to Camp Pirtle, “Thumb buster weekend”. Let’s make a big appearance and help all we can. I wish everyone the best in the wrapping up of this school year, and look forward to fun times ahead!
