The mission of the Tejas Lodge, Order of the Arrow is to fulfill its purpose as an integral part of the East Texas Area Council, Boy Scouts of America through positive youth leadership under the guidance of selected capable adults.

White Ordeal Ceremony Performing a speaking part in the Ordeal ceremony
Green Brotherhood Ceremony Performing a speaking part in the Brotherhood ceremony

Pink Non-Speaking Cermeony Role Performing a non-speaking role in a ceremony, or attending a ceremony in costume, or assisting in the set-up and break-down of the ceremony site
Lavender Unit Elections Conduct three (3) unit elections per bead
Brown Chapter Events Attending a chapter overnight fellowship, not part of a lodge event
Silver Costume or Civic Event Wearing a costume at a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, or Civic event for the promotion of the Order of the Arrow of Scouting
Clear Drum Team One per year for serving on an active drum team
Cheyenne Pink American Indian Events Drum/Dance Competition Participate as a drummer or dancer at Lodge, Section, or National events
Turquoise Section/Region Event Attend a Section conclave or Section/Region meeting
Brass National Event Attend a National OA event
Trans. Ruby LEC Attend three (3) LEC meetings as an LEC member, maximum two (2) beads per year
